Huge New Release!

Ok, so i'm bad and havent posted in while (not totally sure anyone ever reads this - so if you do please leave a comment so i dont feel like im talking to myself! lol)

There has been a huge new release at Marla; coats, jeans, hair - the works! Anway theres so much to go through i will just get on with it and post the pictures :)

Military Diva is the coat on the left. It comes with a flexi attachment so that your coat moves as you walk. Fully closed at least u dont have to worry about matching your top to it!

Patchwork (right) on the other hand is wonderfully bohemian and to be quite honest my favourite of the two. Patchwork has a longer more flowing flexi attachment and is open at the front so that you can experiment with different looks and mix and match other outfits with the coat. Both retail for $180L at the Marla main store.

California is the outfit on the left and has boy fit jeans - kinda a bit baggy in a 'i stole these from my boyfriend and dont care if he goes mad' kinda way :)

Last but not least in the outfit releases is Holy Crap! on the right - dont ask about the name it just made me laugh at the time!

Last in this most recent release is a cropped pixie hairstyle called Star. Hopefully im filling what seems to be a bit of a demand in SL for super short hairstyles - so tell me what you think of it!

It comes in 16 colours, like all of my hair and is available in singles for $100L or as a bumper texture pack for a discounted price.

First Hair Designs :)

I have released my first 2 hair designs at Marla. Phew! That was a learning curve! Each style is available in 16 different colours and for sale as singles at $100L each. Alternatively you can buy all 16 colours as a bumper texture pack for a discounted price.






I thought i would try and be a bit different and name them after universe/space type stuff. Girls names/goddess names etc are a bit 'done' in SL. I'm guilty of it too but theres got to be at least 1,000 dresses and hairstyles named Marilyn (yes there is one called Marilyn at my shop - its like a crime not to!).

In the interests of choice - and having only made 2 hairstyles ever - i decided to make one long and one short ;)

The long one is called Galaxy and is shown here in the Pink, Beach Babe and Black colours.

The 16 colours that each hairstyle is available in includes 8 'natural' colours and 8 'funky' colours so you can mix and match depending on your style mood to your hearts content!

The shorter of the two styles is called SuperNova - and i think its pretty foxy :)

It is pictured above in Sea, Wine and Sandy.

Both styles are flexi and there are demos for you to try :)

Having an artistic moment......

5 new dresses are released this week at Marla. The first 2 (above) are both, i think, really different and arty dresses. Muse on the left is inspired by the Andy Warhol Marilyn print and comes with the long and short flexi skirts for $250L.

Making Hay is the dress above on the right and is also inspired by Warhol. The outfit kinda brings to mind hot summer days and rolling around in hay - hence the name :)

With Chic (above) is was going for the cute, sexy secretary look i think! I must admit i love this dress - theres quite a lot of detail in it and the long and short flexi skirts add some versatility. Its pretty cute in a kinda laid back, preppy kinda way. Again is on sale for $250L at the Marla main store. (all the dresses listed in this post are $250L - so i guess i can shut up about that now lol )

Cannes (above) is named in honour of the film festival - and i think wouldnt look out of place there. Its totally hand drawn (as most of my stuff is) and is pretty sexy in an elegant way.

Oh and some Mall new - all the Units are totally full - there are some great brands there. Hair by Cher, Shapes by Zada, Freda's Fine Fashions, Fashion Club, Nea-Ban Eyewear, Apple May Designs, Aitui Tattoo, Purple Rose Jewellery, etc

There a lucky chair with some really nice clothes and other stuff in there, some dance pads for all you campers and i am now holding regular exhibitions and events. The Art and Photoghraphy exhibit; 'Beauty and SL' was successful and mentioned in both the Avastar and SL Enquirer. Oh, speaking of which check out the Avastaron Friday coz im featured in there doing an Inventory Sneak Peek! lol - It was great fun :)

Lastly, before i sign off - anyone reading this will be the first to know that i am working on some hair designs! Am really excited about it and totally enjoying pretending that im a hairdresser! So look out for when i get around to releasing a decent range :)

How to have a split personality!

Hi there! I must have a split personality at the moment coz my newest releases and two completely different outfits! But hey variety is the spice of life i guess :)

I have to admit that Vamp is my favourite of the two. Its sensationally sexy and glamourous. The way it moves is pretty cool too - its very soft and just sort of flutters around you. I learnt a new texturing trick for it too! Under the green satin skirt is another skirt layer - but the outside of that skirt is completely clear. You cant see it when looking at it straight on, but underneath it have a purple snakeskin type texture - so when you move you occasionally get a flash of purple under the green skirt which contrasts really well. I am totally into it - but let me know what you think!

Beach Babe is my other most recent release. Its totally laid back, casual, funky and fun and hopefully will appeal to all those Beach Babes out there! I designed it coz i was starting to feel faintly ridiculous floating around Marla Beach in all these long gowns - but then it is SL and everyone just wears what the hell they want to regardless of location or time - which is fab! lol

Come on down to Marla Beach anytime just to hang out and say hi if that grabs your fancy :)

4 Fab New Bling dresses and Marla Beach Expansion

There are 4 new bling dresses in store at Marla - and i have to admit i am particuarly taken with them! One timeless, sexy, classic style in 4 different colour ways and with the bling flexi skirt that i am so fond of! :)

Mae Bling is a monochrome style, Marilyn is a flirty purple and lavender, Ava a sweet blue number and Vivian a sultry red and black lace design. They are all on sale for $450L. Please come and check them out!

As for the mall - i have expanded and bought the plot of land next to it - the whole area now measures a whopping 12288 sq.m! Marla Beach Mall is still there - but now Marla has a brand new BIG shop and the whole area is now called Marla Beach.

Marla has also expanded its range - apart from new outfits being added every week there are now shoes in stock by AFantasy Emporium. Really beautiful, sexy shoes, many of which are colour change! There are also skins and hopefully shapes coming soon x

New releases and Mall news

Hi there, i am such a bad girl for not posting more often but in my defence have been majorly busy with the Marla Beach Mall and trying to learn new skills for my clothing designs. I promise to be better :)

Anyway, there are two new releases at Marla - Sweet Devil and Electric. Two really sexy little red flexi dresses. Sweet Devil is a cute little outfit - a nice soft shade of red so both sweet and sexy at the same time. There is seam detailing down the 'bodice' of the dress - a new trick i learnt. I cant believe i got them to line up! lol

Electric lives up to its name i think - a really vibrant shade of red that is definately not for any shrinking violets out there. If you want to stand out then i would think this is the dress for you. Be prepared attention tho :)

The shading detail on it is something i am working on - i find that if you use a separate layer from the main texture, shade in a dark grey where you want the 'shadow' to be, smudge with a smudge tool and then use the gaussian blur tool it works pretty well!

Marla Beach Mall is a busy place at the moment. All but two of the vendor units are full and traffic is rising daily. Am so proud of the really great brands that have decided to take a spot at the mall. New vendors are Nea-Ban Eyewear, Apple May Photography, Shapes by Zada, Skeet Freaks and Sbl Fetish Wear.

Am also planning to open a Marla Outlet there - am running out of space in my shop as the techniques im learning get better so i think an outlet for my older stuff would be good - everything under $50L. Will post as soon as its up and running.

Am pretty excited too - Shapes by Zada is coming this weekend to Marla Beach Mall. This is primarily a haute couture custom design shape business but hopefully this weekend Zada is releasing her ready to wear pret-a-porter range. She is currently working on a custom shape for me too and i have to say that she is a complete perfectionist - which i love! When its finished will post all about it!

Sexy new dresses at Marla

Two new sexy black dresses at Marla. I have been having a bit of designers block. Been trying to learn new techniques and produce ever better quality clothes. Omg it can be frustrating! lol

But here are 2 new dresses that i'm pretty proud of. A rockin' black leather basque dress and an elegant but sexy black lace dress. Each are in store for $250L.

To be honest i think im gonna live in the black leather one - makes my cleavage look fab ;)
